Why Delta
Built by people who saw how the industry was failing taxpayers.
Delta Tax Group is a United States tax-resolution company founded by Vardan Sarkisov. He entered the industry in 2008 alongside a team that had worked at a leading tax relief firm, learned how resolution work is actually done, and built Delta Tax Group around the gaps he saw: verify the record before selling a program, and tell people plainly what their own numbers support.

Who we are
A tax-resolution firm for people who have already been sold something once.
Delta Tax Group helps individuals, self-employed people and business owners across the United States address federal and state tax problems: unpaid balances, unfiled returns, levies, garnishments, liens, notices and audits. Representation before the IRS is provided by our tax professionals under a signed engagement and a Form 2848 authorization.
Most people who call us are not calling first. They have already tried the taxing authority themselves and could not get a straight answer, or they paid a company that stopped returning calls, or they got advice that never turned into an actual plan. That shapes how this firm operates more than any mission statement could. If you have been burned once, what you need is not enthusiasm. It is someone who will check the record and then tell you the truth about it.
So the work here starts the same way every time: pull the transcripts, establish what is actually owed and what deadlines are live, then say plainly which routes your own numbers support and which they do not. Sometimes that conversation ends with us telling someone they do not need representation. That is a fine outcome.
The origin
How it started.
Delta Tax Group did not begin with a business plan. It began with a team that already knew the work, and a founder who had seen enough of the industry from the inside to know what he wanted to do differently.
-
2008
Into the industry, with people who already knew it
Vardan Sarkisov entered tax resolution in 2008, bringing on a team that had worked at a leading tax relief firm. That head start mattered. Instead of learning the business by guessing at it, he learned it from practitioners who had already run hundreds of cases through the IRS system — how transcripts are read, how financial statements are built, where submissions get rejected and why.
-
The years after
Learning the whole operation, not one corner of it
He worked through the full lifecycle: intake, investigation, financial analysis, preparation, negotiation and compliance. Seeing every stage is what makes the pattern visible. Cases rarely fail at the negotiating table. They fail earlier — at a financial disclosure filled in carelessly, at a program chosen before anyone read the account, at a deadline nobody calendared.
-
Today
Delta Tax Group
The firm exists to run that process properly and at scale, for individuals and businesses with tax problems anywhere in the United States. Same order every time, no stage skipped, and an honest answer about what is realistic before anyone signs anything.
The reason it exists
The gaps we set out to fix.
Working inside the industry shows you its failure modes quickly. Four of them come up again and again, and every one is avoidable. Delta Tax Group was built around not repeating them.
None of this is a criticism of the professionals doing this work well — there are many. It is a description of what goes wrong when the sales floor, rather than the account transcript, decides what a client is sold.
- Selling the program before reading the account. An Offer in Compromise sold to someone whose numbers were never going to support one is a fee collected for a submission destined to be rejected. We run the calculation first, and say so when it does not work.
- Financial disclosures filled in carelessly. An expense figure left off a collection information statement can raise a monthly payment for years. This is where quiet, permanent damage happens, and it is invisible to the client.
- Deadlines nobody tracked. Response windows on notices are short and some of the rights attached to them do not come back. Options disappear while a file sits in someone's queue.
- Going quiet. The single most common complaint about this industry is not a bad outcome. It is not being told anything. You hear from us at each stage, including when the news is not good.
The founder
Vardan Sarkisov.
Vardan Sarkisov is the founder of Delta Tax Group. He entered tax resolution in 2008 with a team drawn from a leading tax relief firm, learned the business from the inside, and has since founded and led multiple tax resolution companies.
What that length of time gives you is pattern recognition. You have seen the same cases resolve and fail for reasons that are rarely obvious from the outside — which financial disclosures set a payment higher than it needed to be, which offers were never going to be accepted, and which deadlines quietly removed options that had been available the week before.
That experience is the reason this firm starts every matter the same way: verify the record first, then say plainly which paths your own numbers support. It is also why you will hear when representation is not worth what it would cost you — a conversation that is bad for a month's revenue and good for everything after it.
Track record
Over 25,000 tax cases closed out.
Twenty-five thousand cases is not a marketing figure to us. It is the reason the process on this site is written the way it is — every stage of it exists because volume taught us what happens when that stage gets skipped.
Volume builds judgement
After enough cases you stop guessing. You know which offers get accepted, which expense categories survive scrutiny, how long a given route actually takes, and what a revenue officer is likely to do next.
Handled professionally
Confidential consultations, documents exchanged through a secure portal rather than email attachments, and only the information a case genuinely requires. Nothing beyond it.
Individuals and businesses
Personal balances, self-employed taxpayers, payroll tax exposure, sales tax, and cases where a business problem has already reached the owner personally.
Nationwide on federal matters
Representation before the IRS is federal, so we work with clients remotely in all fifty states. State representation and licensing vary, and we tell you who is responsible for your matter before you engage us.
Case volume describes work completed. It is not a prediction about your matter. Eligibility for any resolution program is determined by the taxing authority based on your individual facts, and past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Judge us on things you can check
How we work, stated so you can hold us to it.
Everything below is either a verifiable fact or a description of how the work is run. If a claim cannot be substantiated, it does not belong on a website for people who have already been sold something once.
Credentials you can verify
Representation is provided by our team of top-rated tax professionals, whose licenses you can check directly with the issuing body.
The record comes first
No program is recommended before your IRS account transcripts have been pulled and reviewed. The calculation decides the strategy, not the other way around.
You approve everything
Nothing is filed on your behalf until you have seen what we found, what we recommend and what it costs. You have the last word on what gets accepted.
Plain-language updates
You are told what stage your matter is at, what we are waiting on and who is handling it. If something is not going the way we expected, you hear that from us first.
How your information is handled
Consultations are confidential. Documents are exchanged through a secure portal rather than email attachments. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Transparent engagement terms
Scope, fees and what is not included are set out in writing before work begins.
Boundaries
What you will not get from us.
Anyone can list their strengths. What tells you more about a tax relief firm is what it rules out, because that is where this industry earns its reputation.
- No guaranteed outcome. Eligibility is determined by the taxing authority from your facts. A specific reduction promised before anyone has seen your transcripts is a sales target, not a result.
- No "pennies on the dollar" pitch. An Offer in Compromise is arithmetic. If the calculation does not support one, we say so rather than charging for a submission unlikely to be accepted.
- No claim that calling us stops collection. A phone call or a form has no legal effect on your account. Only specific actions taken with the taxing authority affect collection.
- No pressure on the first call. You will not be asked for payment information during a consultation, and you will not be told an offer expires today.
- No legal advice or court representation. Delta Tax Group is a tax-resolution company, not a law firm. Where a matter needs an attorney, we say so.
Questions about the firm
What people ask about Delta Tax Group.
Is Delta Tax Group a legitimate company?
Delta Tax Group is a tax-resolution company operating in the United States, founded by Vardan Sarkisov, who has been in the industry since 2008. Representation before the IRS is provided by tax professionals under a signed engagement letter and a Form 2848 authorization, and their credentials can be verified directly with the issuing body. We are not the IRS, not a government agency, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any government program.
How is Delta different from other tax relief companies?
The order of operations. We pull and read your IRS account transcripts before recommending any program, then run the actual calculations for each route before proposing one. That sounds procedural, but it is the difference between a strategy built on your numbers and a strategy built on what a sales floor is incentivised to sell. It also means we sometimes tell people they do not need representation.
How long has Delta Tax Group been doing this?
Our founder entered tax resolution in 2008, starting with a team drawn from a leading tax relief firm, and has founded and led multiple resolution companies since. Over that time our team has closed out more than 25,000 tax cases for individuals and businesses.
What does Delta Tax Group actually do?
We help individuals, self-employed people and business owners resolve federal and state tax problems — unpaid balances, unfiled returns, levies, garnishments, liens, notices, audits and payroll tax exposure. That means obtaining and analysing your account records, preparing required returns and disclosures, representing you with the taxing authority, and helping you stay compliant once a resolution is in place. The full list is on the resolution options page.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on scope: how many years are involved, whether returns need preparing, whether the matter is federal, state or both, and which resolution is pursued. Scope and fee are set out in writing before any work begins, along with what is not included.
Do you work with clients outside California?
Yes. Authority to practise before the IRS is granted federally, so eligible federal matters can be handled remotely for clients in all fifty states. State tax representation is different — it depends on that state's rules and on individual licensing, and we will tell you who is responsible for your matter before you engage us.
What happens on the first call?
A conversation about what has happened so far — the notices you have received, roughly what is owed, which years may be unfiled, and whether collection has started. Nothing requires your records to be in order, and you will not be asked for payment information. You should come away knowing what the immediate concern is and what it would take to evaluate it properly.
What if I already hired someone and it did not work?
Bring whatever you have: the engagement agreement, anything that was filed, and any correspondence. The first step is establishing what actually happened on the account rather than what you were told happened. Sometimes the strategy was wrong for the facts, sometimes required returns were never filed, sometimes a deadline lapsed. Some outcomes can be revisited and some cannot, and you will get a straight answer about which yours is.
These answers are general information, not tax or legal advice for your situation, and program rules change. Primary sources: IRS.gov and your state taxing authority. Please do your own research to verify the accuracy of content on our website.
